Who am I?

You are a ghost, driving a meat skeleton made of stardust, what do you have to be scared of? (Author unknown)

I have always been writing. I do not have many childhood memories, but I do remember sitting on the windowsill of our home in the mining town of Welkom, and writing songs and poems. Later in my early teens I wrote novels on the typewriter my mum gave me.

I went on to read law at uni, but kept at my “hobby”. The pen and paper, later the Word program stayed my constant companion when thoughts just had to be made tangible on paper.

My life took a couple of detours and now, here at the shores of Western Australia I have finally plucked up the courage to make more of this “hobby” of mine, that has never really been a”hobby” but a way of living, more public.

In this blog I share my migration experience to the Great South Land, my experiences home schooling and parenting my kids, my thoughts on being a middle aged (could that be?) woman, and my thought on life in general.

I am bilingual and my posts will be in either English or Afrikaans.

Welcome to my thoughts and my life.

    • Hi,

twitter is something I have not even though of! I am a bit OCD with FB and WordPress that I fear to think what twitter will do to me:) I may just rethink my view on it after this weekend when I have attended my first ProBlogger event.

Will keep you updated and thank you for the positive feedback.
